About Shana Chow
Shana Marlayna Chow was born and raised in Burnaby, B.C. Canada. She is the youngest of 3 siblings and has always had a passion for creativity, fitness and being in the spot light. She credits her hardworking parents for instilling creativity, education and athletics at a young age.
Sports and fitness have always been a major part of Shana’s life. She has played numerous sports which includes playing competitive soccer at a high level for many years. Growing up, her mother worked as an elementary school teacher and visual artist, while her father worked behind the Scenes in the Motion Picture Film Industry. At a young age Shana and her siblings would visit her father on various film sets around the world. Traveling to Mendoza, Argentina to visit him while working on “Seven Years in Tibet”, Calgary while he worked on “Legends of the Fall,” and other various locations and productions that were shot in Vancouver such as, “Tron”, “X-men 2”, and “Watchmen,” to just name a few. At a young age her father’s career influenced her, and she instantaneously fell in love with film, acting and being in front of the camera.
During her adolescence and into high school she took drama classes, and acted in one act play festival’s and high school theatre productions. Asides from her soccer she also played many sports ranging from gymnastics, volleyball, and track field. She attended Simon Fraser University and graduated with her Bachelors of Arts Degree in Social Sciences.
Shana has modeled for many campaigns, fashion shows, designers, and competed as a finalist in International swim wear competitions and fitness shows. She has acted in many music video, web commercials, independent films, and has been featured in Television and Film Productions. Aside from modeling and acting Shana has continued to pursue her passion for writing. She writes weekly motivation quotes and poetry.
